Quarantine Now in Effect
After consulting with local health authorities, the crisis management committee has directed our Security team to close the gates and impose a strict quarantine for two weeks. Only essential services, such as water, provisions, and fuel deliveries, are permitted. No worker, except for those that provide essential services, will be permitted into Mirador San Jose. Essential workers will follow strict decontamination protocols when they enter our site and will work in isolation from the general population. Do not approach any essential worker on site.
Do You Employ Someone?
If you employ cleaners, gardeners, and other household labourers, please inform them that they may not enter Mirador San Jose until we receive word that our quarantine should be lifted. We ask that you consider their wages for this time of inactivity. Our employees are a fundamental part of our happiness. They maintain us in our leisure, wash our clothes, clean our homes, and see to our gardens. They deserve to know that they have our support during this difficult time.
Provisions and Fuel
Claude Dugas and his Logistics Operations team will provide the community with provisions, fuel, and other necessities of life. M. Dugas will submit a full strategic plan to the crisis management committee by tomorrow. The committee will immediately relay this information to you.
Homeowners who drive to a city that has confirmed cases of COVID-19 (Guayaquil, Manta, and Jipijapa) will be required to isolate themselves in their homes if they return to Mirador San Jose. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Four Homeowners in Voluntary Isolation
Tonight, Bill Breadner reported feeling extremely fatigued. He and Elaine Breadner are now in voluntary isolation. Bill does not yet show symptoms of COVID-19 and he may in fact not be infected. The crisis management committee will closely monitor Bill’s condition. If he develops symptoms, we will seek immediate testing.
Chantal Cloutier and I were exposed to Bill and Elaine tonight. As a precaution, we are voluntarily isolating ourselves in our home and will direct the operations of the committee from here. Please do not approach our home or the home of Bill and Elaine Breadner.
If you feel out of sorts or ill in any way, please contact the crisis management committee for instructions and immediate assistance. If you came in physical contact with Bill Breadner today, please also voluntarily isolate and inform us that you are doing so. Claude Dugas or a member of his team will contact you to see to your needs.
Stay Calm
We and the Breadners have entered voluntary isolation as a precaution only. None of us feels ill. Bill may be suffering from the stress of our situation. Still, under the circumstances in which we find ourselves, it is best that we remain apart from the community.
Stay calm. Do not leave Mirador San Jose. There is nowhere else to go. Help your volunteers. Talk to your friends. We will get through this.
