We Now Have Internet at the Gates
Norm Couture, our miracle worker and cybersaint, has supplied our Neighbourhood Watch volunteers with Wi-Fi Internet access at the gates. The password is taped to the bottom of the modem in the guard booth. It can’t be said often enough: Norm and Jonathan deserve heroes’ medals when this is over.

Insect Fumigation
Tomorrow, the empty lots will be fumigated for insects. This was supposed to happen earlier in the week, but a rumour that someone was ill (Bill Breadner, whom we expect will be released from voluntary isolation in the morning) kept our essential services workers away.
Rumours have unanticipated consequences, friends. We must keep our wits about us if we’re to get through this experience together.
Water
Friends, please remember that water is a scarce resource during this crisis. It is not for garden maintenance or washing your car. Please, be conscious of your consumption.
CNEL Agreement
Late last night, the crisis management committee received a verbal proposal from CNEL to restore power to the community. We replied to CNEL with our written understanding of the terms of the agreement, and our acceptance of those terms. We have requested a written offer of agreement from CNEL, which we must send for review to a legal representative of our choice. We are told by intermediaries that CNEL will meet tomorrow morning to discuss our written offer of agreement. We will publish more information as it comes to us.
