At five o\u2019clock this afternoon, the security company that employs our guards pulled them from duty because Inmirsan is $30,000 in their debt.<\/p>\n
To quickly summarize: Inmirsan also owes an equal amount to IESS for its employee social security. Inmirsan owes $550,000 in back taxes to SRI. Inmirsan owes CNEL $120,000. The water truck appears to have been removed from our premises.<\/p>\n
This is no longer a matter of delinquent homeowner accounts. Inmirsan is insolvent. Inmirsan has no money. Inmirsan has effectively abandoned the urbanization. We are on our own.<\/p>\n
Our choices now are to organize for ourselves, or to abandon Mirador San Jose. We choose to organize. We need your help.<\/p>\n
Olivier and Brigitte of the association have asked volunteers to secure our gates, in shifts, for tonight. If you want to volunteer to secure our community, please self-organize this one night only at the gate. Brigitte and Olivier are in Manta for a social event. Like all of us, they were caught unaware by this development. We will all be better able to strategize tomorrow.<\/p>\n
Chantal and I, and Dennis and Brenda Southgate, are trying to organize an emergency committee to see to the immediate needs of the community. These include security and water. Electricity is another matter, but our security is now the priority.<\/p>\n
We will meet with Olivier and Brigitte tomorrow to explore options. I have been asked to communicate to the community. I will communicate all results to this page as a plan emerges.<\/p>\n
I understand that you are worried about the future of your home. We are all worried. It may not seem so, but there\u2019s a way forward. We will all be called upon soon to commit ourselves.<\/p>\n
